The Stadium has been designed and well-equipped for hosting a wide range of sporting, religious and community events. With a maximum seating capacity of 40,000, the Stadium is at present the largest outdoor multi-purpose recreation and sports venue in Hong Kong. The Stadium provides a quality venue for a variety of significant events held throughout the year, including the annual Hong Kong Sevens, Lunar New Year soccer tournaments, soccer exhibition matches, reunification celebration events, Walks for Millions, as well as number of community and religious events.
